Work
I'm a discerning generalist who builds time machines: services and systems
that give people back their time. I bring clarity to chaos and move fluidly
between strategy and delivery, leading discovery, shaping roadmaps, building
capacity, and coaching teams.

Many Paths: care coordination for people experiencing street homelessness
- Partner with the founder and product designer on Many Paths, refining the prototype, surfacing gaps, co-leading user interviews with service providers, and turning feedback into a prioritized backlog.
- Identified the need for data security and privacy compliance (including HIPAA) for sensitive personal and health data, brought in expert advisors, and set the pilot launch to follow those requirements.
- Own the plan to a viable pilot launch, including the pilot definition, success metrics, and clear priorities and sequencing for each stakeholder.
- Helped shape the firm's new discovery offering for local and state government, and edited its proposal to the City of Santa Fe for a five-year homelessness strategy.

New Mexico Water Data Initiative: shipping V1 on the committed date
- Shipped V1 of the Bureau's first unified data management platform on the committed date (April 2026) as its first product manager, owning product strategy, V1 scope, and the roadmap.
- Defined V1 through discovery: ran user research with field staff and researchers, facilitated a two-day roadmapping workshop with 15+ leaders, engineers, and field staff, and turned cross-bureau input into a V1 product definition and prioritization framework.
- Held the launch date through a mid-project capacity shock (two developers on leave in the same week) by re-scoping the data migration to the highest-value, lowest-effort data.
- Restored leadership confidence with a predictable delivery and communication cadence, which led to new funding for a statewide geothermal initiative, a continuous sensor data pipeline, and cross-Bureau partnerships.
- Co-wrote the statement of work for funded follow-on work, and advised on staffing and capacity through four personnel transitions.
- Introduced agile delivery and modern product practices (sprint planning, retrospectives, PR review, bug triage, a team working agreement) and built an AI context repository with guardrails and workflows for the team's AI coding tools; the practices held through the handoff to, and onboarding of, a newly hired staff product manager.

Federal Voting Assistance Program discovery
- Led discovery to modernize the DoD Federal Voting Assistance Program's ballot services, where state fax requirements left a five-person team hand-processing thousands of emailed ballots on deadline.
- Mapped the end-to-end voter journey, state-by-state rules, and technical constraints with a service designer and an engineer, and assessed off-the-shelf technology options with the team's acquisition specialist and agency staff.
- Delivered recommendations and a Now / Next / Later roadmap in under three weeks after the engagement was cut short by two months, aligning DoD, state election officials, and partner agencies.

Instagram Product Trust & Safety
- Owned safety strategy for five high-complexity Instagram product areas against a role expectation of one.
- Co-led a platform-wide safety audit of 50+ live Instagram products, including orphaned products with no owning team, and persuaded teams with separate roadmaps to implement necessary safety systems and mitigations, including user reporting, automated detection and enforcement, measurement and guardrails, and content and teen safety controls.
- Secured leadership buy-in for a new product safety review approach, built with a cross-functional working group; the model was later adapted for scale and adopted across Meta's Family of Apps.
- Shipped the first in-product safety controls for licensed music across Instagram and Facebook (in-player reporting, controls to hide unwanted music, and filtering of violating content from search and recommendations).
- Helped design the first automated detection model for violating music: co-wrote the content policy and reviewer guidance, secured review capacity to label and test, and secured engineering to launch and tune it on review decisions, blocklists, and user signals.

Instagram Digital Rights
- Established Instagram's first program for assessing digital rights risk before launch (IP, counterfeits, privacy, music rights, and legal compliance), standardizing how those risks were assessed and addressed across the platform.
- Built a risk heat map from product usage, reporting, and enforcement data to prioritize launch reviews, then mapped product features to the harms they enable with partner risk teams, producing guidance teams used to plan mitigations early.
- Mentored and trained a team of 7 to own Instagram-wide product safety reviews.

Relevance organization: search and recommendations.
- Brought in to unblock the product org's biggest bottleneck: embedded with the Relevance teams, ran discovery across the org, and partnered with a newly hired engineering director to roll out a new charter and ways of working, from PR reviews to bug prioritization.
- Coached the org's 6 engineering teams and their PMs through agile adoption, set a consistent release cadence, and built sprint and release dashboards so dependent teams could plan around Relevance.
- Launched a collaborative planning process with the org's PMs that made prioritization and tradeoffs transparent to dependent teams and gave Relevance control of its own roadmap, reducing reactive work.
- Owned GDPR compliance for the org: designed the Privacy by Design risk assessment process and translated legal requirements into per-team technical requirements, delivering by the deadline.
